Title: Introduction to Jupyter4NFDI

This talk offers an overview of how to access and use Jupyter4NFDI. Jupyter4NFDI is one of the Base4NFDI core services. It enables reproducible research, scalable access to computational resources, and flexible research environments. During the session we will cover an introduction to the platform’s capabilities and show how it can be integrated into research workflows. The session will demonstrate how to:

  • Support reproducible research workflows
  • Scale computational resources to meet your research needs
  • Use flexible and customisable research environments

Speaker: Julian Eble (Universität Stuttgart) and Aleksandra Pawlik (GESIS)

Julian Eble is a software developer at the University of Stuttgart and has been part of the Jupyter4NFDI project for two years. His work focuses on communication and community engagement, helping to connect researchers with the Jupyter4NFDI service. He is also responsible for establishing the Jupyter Outpost at the University of Stuttgart and coordinates the service’s incubation projects, including the organization and coordination of project activities and participating teams.

Aleksandra Pawlik joined Jupyter4NFDI in early 2026 and leads the development of training for the platform. She has previously worked in the UK, South Africa, and New Zealand across the public research sector, building digital capability for open and reproducible science. As a founding Steering Committee member for Software and Data Carpentry, she co-authored their vision and mission and helped set up their international membership model.
