Kickoff of the Section International Engagement
The new Section International Engagement was officially launched on March 31, 2026, and elected its spokespersons for the first time on that occasion.
The new spokespersons are Dr. Thomas Schörner (Senior Scientist at the German Electron Synchrotron DESY, Hamburg, PUNCH4NFDI) and Anja Busch (Project Manager for Open Science and Research Data Management at ZBW - Leibniz Information Centre for Economics, Kiel).
Two working groups have also been established: The first working group, Surveying the European and International Landscape, focuses on identifying additional relevant European and international organisations for NFDI. The second working group, the EOSC Working Group, is involved in the development of the EOSC Federation and the EOSC Node Germany that is to be established by NFDI. This working group serves as the point of contact for the NFDI community during the development of the EOSC node.
With Anja Busch as deputy speaker, NFDI4DS has a strong connection to the new section, and the EOSC federation in particular.
