Our call for slammers is out.
In cooperation with the Berlin Science Week, NFDI4DS hosts a yearly Science Slam.
Science Slam on Research Data Management: Going Wild with AI
Science meets Comedy meets AI meets Chaos — and you could be right in the middle of it.
A science slam is a stage format where researchers present their work in just a few entertaining minutes, no slides full of bullet points, no jargon, just a room full of people learning by laughing.
This year, we’re taking it one step further: our slammers use artificial intelligence as a genuine creative partner and collaborator. Every speaker teams up with an AI tool to engage in a process of real co-creation: they feed it their slam idea, push it somewhere unexpected, and slam what comes back.
Do you have a topic related to research data management that you want to share with an audience in an entertaining way — with an AI as your creative sparring partner? This could be the showcasing of data sets and applications, insights into the diversity of the NFDI(4DS) community, examples of collaboration between partners, or simply what happens when you hand your research over to an AI and ask it to get weird.
The motto of this year’s slam is Going Wild with AI. You don’t need stage experience, and you don’t need to be a research data management expert. You just need a story about data (yours or someone else’s), curiosity about working with AI, and the willingness to make research data management sound engaging and fun.
Find all the details regarding the application and the format as well as FAQs at the slammer registration page.
Looking forward for your slam ideas.
