NFDI4DS organizes different events that explain research data infrastructures to the general public.
In cooperation with the Berlin Science Week, NFDI4DS hosts a yearly science slam. The idea is to explain the work of the NFDI and its consortia in an understandable and entertaining way.
Up to now, we successfully ran 3 editions in 2021, 2022, and 2023 with 14 slams from 11 consortia in total. The event attracted up to 80 participants in-person and up to 200 participants virtually.

2024 NFDI Science Slam
This year’s NFDI Science Slam will take place in November in Berlin together with the NFDI4DS Conference. An in-person event is planned, which will allow for virtual participation. Don’t miss out this exciting event!
